When describing the physical space of valleys, a sense of human presence was always discernible. By combining scanning technology and computing power, new methods of describing territories, such as point clouds, can provide a detailed picture of these landscapes. In this work, together with the Material Topology Research Lab (Prof. Aaron Sprecher) from the Faculty of Architecture at the Technion created a computer model of Wadi Rushmia (Nahal Givorim) which shows, in addition to the topographic route and the vegetation, also remnants of the many constructions and infrastructures within it. Surprisingly, the processes of such a description, which are based on the mediation of scanning sensors, produce abstract images of matter that border on sublime.
